Transmission Service

If you own an automobile that is more than a few years old, it is highly recommended that you check with a reputable auto shop to see what the manufacturer recommendation is for your vehicle to conduct a regular transmission service. Although the transmission fluid does not happen at the same frequency as an oil change, it is critical that this oft-neglected service be addressed in the correct timeframe for your automobile. If you find yourself in need of this or other car maintenance services, then consider making Brake Spot & Auto Repair your first call when it comes to finding a full service garage in the Hawthorne area of Southern California that can take care of your vehicle’s needs. In addition to being able to take care of the routine transmission inspection and fluid replacement service, our techs will also conduct a comprehensive road test if there are any external adjustments required on the vehicle while we do our work. The last thing that we ever want to do is call your auto repaired and have you encounter issues once you hit the road. All of our service technicians are highly trained and qualified to work on your auto’s transmission, and you will enjoy our 100% warranty on all work accomplished in our shop. We always recommend that our clients take a hard look at getting a transmission fluid change and flush at the right maintenance intervals to ensure the appropriate health of the system to avoid pitfalls down the road.

Transmission Shop

Brake Spot & Auto Repair is a full service auto repair and transmission shop. During our company’s more than 10 years of being in business, we have developed a deep expertise in all aspects of taking care of our customer’s manual and automatic transmissions. Whether you drive an economy or luxury vehicle, our highly trained and certified technicians know how to take care of the smallest of issues that can arise with the transmission. Our techs use a formal multiple point checklist to conduct a thorough inspection of the auto transmission to identify all issues with the vehicle. It does not matter if you drive a SUV, car, truck, or van, or mechanics know their business, and we will be able to take care of your auto’s needs.

Many of our shop’s customers drive a vehicle with a manual transmission. Our shop mechanics know how to repair and fix these as well as we do automatic transmissions. During our team’s inspection of your vehicle, it is not uncommon for our techs to discover issues with the auto’s clutch in addition to one of the transmission components. If we identify major issues with the transmission, we will proceed with removing the transmission. Then, we’ll take a hard look at the clutch disc, flywheel, pressure plate, and other related components of the transmission. If our mechanics identify any of the components that require replacement, we will do so, and then reinstall the transmission on the auto. Once the visual inspection passes, we will refill the assembly with transmission fluid and conduct the appropriate lift check to ensure the right installation and adjustments for proper operation have been accomplished followed by an operational test of your vehicle.

Our shop also conducts transmission fluid changes when required by mileage or other indicators with your automobile. We typically give our customers two options when it comes to this service: 1 – You can elect to simply have the fluid changed out using the appropriate type and grade of transmission fluid for your make and model of automobile, or 2 – A full fluid change along with a transmission filter change out with a manufacturer approved filter. Our team normally recommends having the filter changed out at the same time; however, the cost and total time in the shop will increase by choosing this option, so this may not be the right option for many of our customers. If you have any questions regarding our transmission services, please give our friendly staff a call today. We will always be happy to answer your questions, and we look forward to serving you today.
